Places to satisfy your sweet tooth

 Greetings to all you Lahori's out there ! I think we are all tired of eating gulaab jamans and dreaming of going to crispy creams and other places that we know aren't going to open up in our neighborhood anytime soon. So,im writing this blog to give hope to all Lahories out there that the reign of ice cream parlors like Yummy 36 is over, allowing you to enjoy a wide selection of desserts right in your neighborhood. Lets start with places where we can find that sweet,delectable dessert we like to call..... Ice cream.

  

  Ahhhhhhh...Movenpick. Finally came to Lahore bringing its creamy and nearly flawless ice cream within our reach. A few years years ago people used to tell stories of how they tasted the best ice cream in the world when they went abroad. Even though this may be a bit over exaggerated, Movenpick is still the best ice cream you can find in Lahore ( and believe me...iv tried them all)  The only downside to it is that its damn expensive. 180 Rs a scoop??? Dude ? !!! Thats like robbing a man at a gunpoint. Still,there's always a price for quality. If your up for it,Movenpick ice cream can be found at various places including their very own parlor behind The Hot Spot DHA, Nando's MMalam and Royal Palm Golf and Country Club. Their top flavors are Swiss chocolate , Mint chocolate, Strawberry Raspberry and many others.

 

Cosa Nostra

Right after Movenpick comes what i call the 'hidden treasure of Lahore'.   Its a place many of you may not know about. Catering to the appetite of the elite class of Lahore comes a place called Cosa nostra,located opposite Mc Donalds Gulberg (for directions...google it) Cosa nostra is an amazing restaurant with excellent food and atmosphere, and that being the exact reason why iv been there atleast 3 times a month for the past year. Their ice cream is just simply amazing,nearly as good as movenpick. Its a must try for all ice cream lovers since it is just unmatchable. Iv tried nearly all their flavors and my personal favourites are 
1- Cherry Mania ( Simply divine. I could eat a litre of that ice cream)
2- Orange chocolate 
3- Cheesecake (its like the best cheesecake you had...only better :)  
4- After eight ( An excellent mint chocolate ice cream...perhaps the best iv had)
 Cosa nostra is more reasonable then Movenpick and gives you greater value of money as well as the perfect food and atmosphere all in one place. Its a place you shouldn't miss going to.
